...and NO ONE say when Ripley died in Alien3 please.

"Luke, I am your father."

"Get away from her, YOU BITCH!"

"No, you don't. But thanks for saying it. Now go!
I wanna see how it ends."

"X5-599, I've got a heart for you."

"It's in your nature to destroy yourselves."

"What was that?"

Well back when the tech and look of it was still revolutionary: The first time you saw the dinosaurs on screen from Jurasic Park.

For me, personally, the end of Blade Runner had such a strong impact, that I still get goosebumps when I see it:

Batty: I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

Deckard: [voice-over] I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life, anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

Impacted me so stongly probably because that what just about the time I started to think about those types of questions. What does it all mean?...

I'd rather be a smartass than a dumbass...

"Where'd you learn that, soldier?"
"In school, sir. Don't you remember? I was part of the team."
From Starship Troopers, right after Rico destroys the big firebug thingy. Thing. Bug.
AND
Same movie, where the LT is down, and looks at Rico, saying,
"You know what to do"

But that's just me. What do I know?

Oh, and one more, (can we have more than one?) Probably my favorite of all time, anywhere, is Boromir's final battle in Fellowship of the Ring. Even with everything else in the trilogy, that fight is probably the single greatest moment in the movie. For me anyway, but then I'm a sucker for swordplay and hopeless odds!

Some great ones mentioned, especially Ripley's line to the queen in Aliens, the Star Wars opener shot and Vaders line to Luke in ESB. Plus the BR line from Batty, what a great line.

And my additions:

The mothership arrival in Close Encounters.
LOTR, both Two Towers and Return Of The King when the Rohirrim arrive to battle at Helm's Deep and The Pelennor Fields.
E.T.'s revival scene.

"I don't believe in suicide, but if you'd like to try it it might cheer me up to watch."
