I read on one of these threads that Joss might be waiting for some con to make the official announcement and thats why he hasn't said anything to squelch the rumors. When is this con? The wait is frakin' killing me!

There's been conjecture ( it's rampant in the BC community right now ) that he's holding out til the cons in Oct.-Nov. to say something.
The Serenity LA Starfury con is in November and the Creation Con Salutes FF/S is coming up this month.

I don't know what to think about this theory.
Frankly, if Joss wants to tell us he's said he'd announce it on Whedonesque, so that's what I'm assuming he'd do. If or when we hear that there's gonna be something more, it'll spread like wildfire in a matter of minutes. There are people on the OB ( Original Firefly Prospero Board ) who are in the know, in the business so to say. They'll tell us.
ETA: Just read over on the OB that if and when there's an announcement they'll hear from Chris B. ( producer on Serenity ) they're sure -- and we'll all hear.

Iwould love to get a collectors edition, but haven't seen them anywhere here in Newcastle (Australia). how else can I get one? and is it a safe option? (I try not to do the credit card over the internet thing if there are othr alternatives).

Great news :D I really do hope they bring out a second movie. Here in Germany they brought out a new german edition of the series because the people liked it so much.

Been a while since I posted here. I have been keeping up with Nathan and Jewel's Myspace blogs. I have to tell you that it seemed a bit out of character for Jewel to start out one of her blogs with a "let's squelch this rumor now" statement. It could be that she was asked to do this as a service to us fans. Then again, it could be they are keeping it under wraps as best they can until the deal is sealed. I vote for the latter. BTW, the rest of her post fit in with her usual banter which I enjoy reading. That's probably why I thought "gee, this is a strange way to start out a post..."
