Hello all!

Joe am I, and this is my first post here, having been lurking in the shadows behind Jayne's bunk for a while. (you wouldn't believe the things I've seen there...)

Anyway... I'm an avid prop replica collector/maker and the last few months I've been toiling away on a couple Firefly projects. The first is an all-metal replica of a Callahan Fullbore (Jayne's is Vera, mine will be ALICE)and the second is an all-metal Jubal Early pistol. I really love the design of the thing... probably as much as ol' Early himself. I made a master out of wood and bondo, working from some accurate measurements and screenshots, then cast it in pewter/tin and added the brass details. This is the second one I made, out of three so far, and I've already started on the next. Hope you like it!

Here's a couple o' pics:

That is awesome. Love the Vera replica too. Can't wait to see it finished.

This is just gorrammed beeeeeutiful! Green with envy am i. I'm sorta a gun nut my own self but not as talented as you (just use the ones the factory churns out). Really shiny! i don't know 'bout the pachmayer grips though...i'd use wooden grips, then you could tailor them to suit the overall look of the gun. ;)

From one thing, learn ten thousand things.

Thanks for the kind words fellow BCs. : )

The Pachmyr grips are actually correct to the screen-used gun. Early's weapon had the exact same grips, so naturally my gun had to have them too, else it wouldn't be a proper replica. I've tried to match every detail as close as is possible with the reference available. ; )

Excellent work Joe! Welcome to the board and thanks for posting these pics. That is some truly great craftsmanship on the Jubal Early pistol replica.

Can't wait to see how the Alice project goes.
