Maniac - No, it just gets really, really quiet on the weekends. You are usually the last post just because of your time schedule. We should all be able to move soon.

Boomer - Glad it came. I could not resist sending you sand. If I see any more cool ones will send them along.

Ah, what a nice Luddite Sunday, avoiding computers, TVs, phones, etc. Just books, brandy and good food. Cool and damp outside, so no reason to leave the sofa or chair except to refill the glass or hit the kitchen for a few minutes.

Geezer - a whole day with brandy too, and you don't have to hit the head? My friend, you are a better man than I.

There are some things a gentleman doesn't discuss.

Maniac, that particular magnet is a laminated piece of a tree from Cherokee, North Carolina in the Great Smokey Mountains. One of my favorite places.

And sometime today I'll get Kaylee moving along to the bridge.

OK darlings--I've been dreading having to say this--

I'm not sure how much more I can do with Inara--it's not the story, it's quite engaging--it's a RL problem--some issues have cropped up with my very best friend that I just can't stay out of--and I'm not sure my head will be in the story for a while to come *sigh* though, we did have a long run, and I'll try to do as much as possible to move Inara along--Channain and my dear Geezer know which way she'll be going soon--and I have confidence that they can do her complete justice, you guys can even keep her silent, or give her laryngitis if you want to *laughs* If any of you need my input on how she may act--what she might say--feel free to email me....I'll be right here.

If this situation resolves itself soon, I'll be more than happy to hop my little rear right back into the story. Otherwise, I"ll be around only periodically

here's hoping for a quick resolution to my RL issues :)

My sincere apologizes Geezer. Was early in the morning and what I have that passes as a sense of humor got away from me. Apparently I am no gentlemen. Will be more careful making jokes in future.

And, for the record - MERZ would more easily understand food that has to be unwrapped than not. She has seen far less real food over the years. She would understand a banana to a degree, but would be puzzled by an apple. That she would try to unwrap. Paper on a muffin she could tell by texture and would remove without thinking about it.

Okay, folks, here's the deal.
I'm not sure that I can do much with Wash. So, after the vacation Mini, I think I will ask for a recast. Unlike Ciara, I have no real reason, I'm just. . .not the part. So if possible, I would like to say I gave it my best, and let it rest. Unless anyone thinks I'm doing good here (which I doubt, as no one has exactly complimented my posting for Wash).

You see I cannot be forsaken/Because I'm not the only one.
