Serenity II! Yes!

From a book standpoint, I'd love to see a good film rendition of some of Orson Scott Card's "Ender's Game" or the "Shadow" series. Apparently one's been in the works for years, with Card supposedly even writing the script, it just haven't happened yet.

I saw "Snow Crash" on another one of these lists (this one: http://www.pointlesswasteoftime.com/film/scifi.html) and couldn't agree more. It's practically WRITTEN like a movie script.

Good stuff.

EDIT: Wow. Talk about being beaten to the punch. :P

SG-1 is getting DVD movies, and Avatar is getting a theatrical live-action movie, directed by. . . M. Night Shyamalan.

That is a twist.

Happy Potter? Is this the Adam Sandler version?

I'd given some thought to movin' off the edge -- not an ideal location -- thinkin' a place in the middle.

I am sooooo hoping they don't mess this up, I have a feeling they're gonna cut out Molly Weasleys line toward the end of the book. :(

A Mote In God's Eye.

CLJOHNATON108:

I remember reading that one. Someone loaned it to me and I could not put it down. The original story would be a great premier episode. I would love to see that story one film.

Just got finished reading the sequel, "The Gripping Hand".
Took me a whole year to get through it, though.
Well, actually, I read the first half in a week, and the second half took me the rest of the year!
Dang, that thing got confusing!

If my poor memory serves me right I read "A Mote In God's Eye" around 1977. So it has been around awhile. I have been surprized no one has put this story on film. I did not know about the sequel. Now I have a million and one books I want to read.
