Serenity 11 I can agree with, and I can't believe people haven't said this but Alien 3 NEEDS to be redone. If only as Alien 5.

After the second one I feel that's the true end. Ellen and crew drifted off, maybe found a planet somewhere free of humans and alien armies and she, the sargent, the kid, and the android all lived happily ever after. Better than that crap that was the third installment.

Anyway, has no-one considered Army of Darkness 4? Which has been a wish of many but doesn't seem to be on the shelf. Just one more installment of Cambell, that chin, and that glint of mischief in his eyes.

Why does this guy go to computer games for ideas when there are hundreds of excellent books that are waiting to be made into movies. Has this guy ever read a book?

What about "The Forever War" by Joe Haldeman.
"Burning Bright" by Melissa Scott.

I'd want to see Larry Niven's Ringworld & Niven/Pournelle's The Mote in God's Eye as series.

And I'd only want to see Caidin's Cyborg with Ben Browder playing Steve Austin.

My first choice would be Serenity 2 of course.
In no particular order, my other choices are:
The Dark Tower
Legacy of Kaine
X-men 4
A Game of Thrones
The Great War for Civilisation (a movie documentary created by Robert Fisk, based on his book. much like Michael Moors films, but with more class)
Buffy/Angel
Spike
Doctor Who: Time War

1. Serenity sequel, of course
2. Starship Troopers, a GOOD version this time plz!
3. Bolo, by Kieth Laumer, would make an awesome special effects picture
4. A movie from the Warhammer 40k universe would be a great special effects choice, too, and would be a good choice to build a continuing franchise aroud as well. The Horus Heresy, to start perhaps...

I heard that there is an Ender movie in development, and OSC is writing the screeplay, and heavily involved in the production.

Last update on OSC's site was March 2006.
