...the good news is I haven't lost the habit of checking in once an hour even though I cannot 'v'....
...the bad news is that I'm leaving on a trip tonite and will be out of Internet until sunday....blows....really, really blows.

Just be prepared to leave your computer on, with a dedicated TV Vote window up. Have it prepped for your vote. Then, when you would normally go to bed, set your alarm (I use a Timex travel alarm clock, about $4US at WalMart, which I keep in my pocket when up and about) for about a minute shy of the next time you vote. That way you can get up, stumble outta bed, make your vote, re-set your page, and, go back to bed.

Mind you, I'm the weird sort who can lay down, close my eyes, and, be dozing into a dream state almost immediately, so, your tolerance for this might be different. But, you can sure give it a try!
After that little stunt, I discovered that I could get up about three hours early, each morning, at about 6:15am, crank up my computer, vote, go back to bed, repeating until after 9am, at which point I'd stay up, calculate and post the stats, and stay awake and vote hourly until after midnght. That way, I can pull in 19-20 votes easy, without having to go 'round-the-clock.
That pattern I can sustain indefinitely.
