Primary Buffer Panel

Okay, I had an assignment for my art class: to draw a vehical that represents me in some way. I, of course, embarked to draw Serenity (It's hard! Trust me. Or do it yourself) I was looking at this pic 
and the thing I kept thinking was "where the heck is the primary buffer panel?"
If anyone has that infromation, please let me know. I'm just curious about it.

Watch Serenity again, as the ship enters atmo, on Lilac, there is a panel that flies off, just under the windshield, on the right side of the ship, which is in the left of the frame. I believe THAT is the primary buffer panel.

Ah, thanks. It's been a while since I've watched the movie (I prefer the Firefly episodes). The pic that I tried to put on my first entery was a blueprint, and just was curious as to which of the thingys was the primary buffer panel. Does anyone know how make pics show up?

A general rule for the internet is that saving pics as JPEG(s) will usually make them visable on websites, other than that, it's luck, sometimes sites just don't want to cooperate in the pic department! (through no fault of the webmaster, or the user.)

I went back and edited my first entry.
I'm still curious about which of the panel type thingys is the primary buffer panel,so if anyone has that info lurking around in their brains, please let me know.

So basically, Primary Buffer Panel, based on the way it is shown in the movie, and the definition of "buffer", the primary buffer panel is a panel that prevents the ships inner hull from making direct contact with the extreme temperatures a ship experiences upon entrance into a planets atmosphere. So it makes sense that the primary buffer panel would be on the front of the ship. This picture is the clip paused from Serenity at 4:23 mins. showing the buffer panel coming off. I assume that this one is Primary because it's on the side of the pilot, and the one on the right would be secondary because that's the copilot. Just my hunch
