Flyhead over on the old board posted this on October 9th, the Chris B. mentioned is Chris Buchannan Joss' right hand man.
"I got a reply from Chris B. to an email I sent last week. Here are some (slightly paraphrased) things he said:
• Joss will never be finished telling the story of FF/S.
• Keep your fingers crossed.
• The most important thing we fans can do is to keep the Browncoat community strong -- keep posting, keep having special screening, keep Firefly/Serenity in the minds of the critics, media, retailers, on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc.
• In other words, keep flyin'!"

Every day that passes and the rumor is still out there and alive is a beautiful thing. I get butterflies in my stomach and start babbling like a moonbrain at the thought of a sequel. I tried not to get my hopes up but its too late now. They are sky high and sailing.
Can't help but hope and wish and dream and fight for it- we are Browncoats after all.
I continue to hold till Mal gets back.
Once you've been in Serenity you never leave. You find a way to live in it.

Interesting too how Serenity: Better Days has basically disappeared from discussion (the second DarkHorse Serenity comic). It's release date was continually bumped - last I heard it was suppose to come out late 2007, which is um, like *now* and still no word... almost like someone would rather film that story...

last i heard was March... they tied Those Left Behind with Serenity...
maybe they'll tie in Better Days with THE NEXT THING:)

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but did you catch the latest edition of The Signal podcast? There's a really intriguing little tidbit in there, near the end, from an actor in South Africa. It may mean nothing, but...

I think Pizmo has stumbled across the real conspiracy here.
They're late putting out the comic so they're letting sequel rumors distract the rabid fans while they scramble to finally get the thing to print.
