Well they could be. Chewing is a purely mechanical operation that should be easily possible with a bit of creative animatronics. Taste is a slightly more advanced problem but really taste buds are just chemical receptors linked to a central processing unit via an electrical transmission system. I should think that something similar could be done as a USB 2.0 device.

GOod thing we've got a fully stocked fridge then.
Although after that last food fight, looks like we may need to order in for actual food type stuffs. I vote for chinese.
