W-e-e-l-l-l-l...I've always felt too self-conscious to admit this...'coz I don't wanna be the next ne'er-do-well kicked into one of Serenity's engines...but I find that I do have a fairly easy time on occasion imagining Mal being played by Charlie Sheen...NOT because he would be preferrable (Nathan IS Mal...and I hope he's okay with that)...but if Nathan had never been born or for some reason suddenly ceased to exist (I know - major blasphemy), Sheen could maybe fill the void for a while.
...and then I like Andy Dick for Wash and Wanda Sykes for Zoe...and - of happy memory - Will Geer (Zebulon "Grandpa" Walton) as Book...
...and unchanged, of course, would be my selection of Gary Coleman as Badger...because some choices are just so obvious you hesitate to call them 'choices'...
It was wall-to-wall extreme measures when we got here!

...Corey Haim (or Feldman - a Corey by any other name...) as Simon...Juliette "Critical" Lewis as River...Coti de Pablo as KayLee (arguably the finest woman currently in prime time)...Conchata Ferrell as Inara (so Charlie would have a familiar cast-mate to work with)...and Kevin Spacey as Jayne.
Yeah - that pretty much rounds out my Fantasy Firefly Dream Cast 
It was under-structured and over budget when we got here!

I met Cory Feldman last year in Ft. Lauderdale at Screamfest 2006. He was just standing there alone wearing a leopard skin vest, white pants, and black pointy shoes. His hair was slicked back...man the guy just LOOKED like a celebrity...or celebrity has-been. I shook his hand and told him it was a great pleasure to meet him. He smiled and said thanks. No big deal, not like meeting a BDH, but I still thought it was pretty cool.
