Cool, thanks for the info. We'll have to check it out. I'm always a big fan of director's cuts when they make the story better, not just longer.

Never actually saw it, it looked kind of interesting, then everyone told me it was crap so I never got around to seeing it

It was a waste of Jennifer Garner's talents, IMO.

Buffy: I'm just worried this whole session's gonna turn into some training montage from an '80's movie.
Giles: (sighs) Well, if we hear any inspirational power chords we'll lie down till they go away.

Just got Elektra : Director's Cut last night.
I liked the original better than the theatrical cut of Daredevil when it came out, and the director's cut is a small, but noticeable improvement upon the original release. The editing is smoother and tighter, and some added flashbacks are very welcome...and it looks positively STUNNING!!!
AND it comes with a comic book to connect Daredevil and Elektra, AND hours of extras on the second disk!
My only negative comment is, why didn't they put the cameo of Affleck back in; I thought it was GOOD!
If you is a DD fan like me, it be totally worth it.
Not a great movie, but lots of fun, and Terence Stamp is always cool to watch.
Qualified thumbs up Chrisisall

Quote:The director's (Donner) cut of Superman II was especially appreciated by myself, however, I'm getting Blade Runner in December NOT for the new 'ultimate' director's cut, but for the theatrical release- I loved the narration!

I'm interested in seeing the new cut of Blade Runner too. I don't know how much different it will be from the others, but that's a god one, too hard to pass up.
Did you happen to see the rerelease of Lynch's Dune? I missed it too, but heard good things.

Quote:I bought that one, I'm a fan. The 'extended' cut is the same ole' one they showed on Sci-Fi, with the cheesy, bad, over-explaining narration. Some of the scenes are fascinating to see, but Lynche's theatrical version rules, and the recent re-release is visually excellent! Much better than the previous one- worth the upgrade IMO.

OH! And I just remembered, Christophe Beck did the music for Elektra- a Buffyfan reason to get it right there!

I talked my wife into Elektra the other night, and it wasn't too hard of a sell, as we were both Alias fans.
