The next paid day I have off is Nov. 12, then Thanksgiving Day, xmas Day, and New Years' Day. I think I am going to take the day off in a few weeks, however, for my buddy's bachelor party (well, for recovery the day after).

Edit: Oh dear, spoke too soon. Whilst Rose and Zero are cheerful, bad things are happening to my dear Neko. Now I know there's no such thing as karma as you deserve nothing but happiness.

I'm fairly chipper myself as I got a lie in this morning. Supposed to be off all morning to make up for working till past 9pm but too much to do for that!

Oooh, MsG and Jimi, don't be looking in your postboxes for my little love tokens just yet. We're having a postal strike over here and my local post office is shut. Still, all for the best as my dad is being sent to Washington next week so he's going to post the parcels from there.

*hugs Emma* Sorry to make you worry Emma. It's more like fustrated at the stupidities of RL "fun" at work, and overall letdown from the wonderful break. Things got very overwhelming for a while (and might still be at work), hopefully things will sort out sooner than later.

*mutters how teaching would be better if all the paperwork and administrative issues would be someone else's job and all teachers could actually spend their time (gasp!) teaching...*

*cheers up* Things got better after work. I got to talk to a few of my friends to vent my fustrations for this week. So overall happy...just still overwhelmed with the underlying teaching issues around me.

*cheers up a bit more* ...and at least this isn't the same thing I was doing last year! (Never become the coordinator for any type of federal/government funds at a school...too much expectations, too little "true" control.)

Can I ask all the computery people a foolish question? I'm trying to print off a webpage for my partially sighted student and I'm having trouble increasing the font beyond about point 8!

The view text largest worked on some pages but not others. Any suggestions?

I went to the GA National Fair last night. Had a blast watching the boys enjoy themselves. Yay for fair food. Also, there were loads of hot moms there without any metal on their left hand, and not in the presence of any menfolk. Looked very promising.

hey all,

the answer Jimi is mainly be in bed/play halo 2 as suffering from yesterday more than a little. Went down with a cold Wednesday night, just in time for my endoscopy. Now I had the bright idea of doing it without sedation as didn't fancy being all drugged up for so long and wanted to be productive. A word of advice, find yourself in the same situation, take the drugs. I retched and I retched and I now have a sore throat so can't speak properly, a sore stomach inside and out but the real kicker is... they didn't find any so apparently more tests and then possibly an operation although I'm a little unclear of the details as was somewhat out of it when consultant spoke to me.

I'll have a cup of tea and a new body please!

Thanks Gorramgroupie for the work related advice. That's what I ended up doing. Stupid font fixing. On a goverment website and all! That's discrimination against the partially sighted that is!

Feeling a mite jelouse of all people off work at the moment. Very full day for me. Got 5 minutes for lunch.

Yeah RIMG, we tend to have a good snow at least once before Halloween 'round these parts. Not too bad as long as it goes away and warms up a bit before trick or treating. Running around with your costume covered up by a winter coat is no fun for the kids!

Yeah, for a good chunk of yesterday I couldn't post, then when I got home from work the page couldn't be displayed and stayed that way til I went to bed. I posted a little on the 76th and had Haven of course, but I felt like a serious addict trying to get by with a cup of coffee or something.

Mom's in town!

My sister from DC is not up to stay with us as she is experiencing car trouble at the last minute. Poo.

We had pizza and pasticciotte (sp?) at my other sister's house. (Healthy..) The boys ran around in circles with cars racing each other and being generally loud and enthusiastic. (Boisterous?)

Work bit, but it's the weekend.

We got a call yesterday from our lawyer saying that He Who Shall Not Be Named's office contacted her to arrange for a closing date of the 16th.
We're not holding our breath, but I may be hyperventilating a little, here.
WeenieMan is out of town this week, which is probably the main reason we've made headway.

Ingrown nail? I had to have surgery on my big toe for that once. Cut out about half the nail. The painkillers were nice though, and after the first day of recovery it really didn't bother me.

Hi Browncoat peoples. I was getting worried when FFF was down.

I spent most of my time recently catching up on tv shows too. I watched the full first season of heroes, thats an awesome show. I love it. Maybe too much, at times I -almost, but I'm far too manly...yeah- had to hold back some tears.
