In honor of a year worth of stats, I just noticed one record that I'm fairly sure we already hold, which makes a nice change from chasing Xena for all the records.

I'm fairly sure we hold the record for most days ever over 1500 (Both total and consecutive, but consecutive is a fairly small number)...

..yup...I started voting a little over a year ago...even before I 'de-lurked' on FFF; the show was behind Roswell and QAF back then... **sigh**....it's been quite a ride...oh, vump.

So bleary at 6:20 this morning that I didn't even VUMP when I voted VUMP!

Mornin' manual stats:

Top two scores as of this morning:

(Previous day's stat)

Total votes Firefly: (431,558) 432,867

Total votes Xena: (402,908) 403,459

Yesterday, Browncoats voted (1,209) 1,309 times. SHINY!

Yesterday, Xenites voted (509) 551 times.

(Xenites voted (700) 758 times less than Browncoats, yesterday).

Firefly is (28,650) 29,408 votes ahead of Xena. We are still ahead of the combined vote total of Xena and Bonanza!

Browncoat votes rose by 100 yesterday, 8.27%; Xenite votes rose by 42, 8.25%.

Our next, big goal is 450,000, is (18,442) 17,133 votes away, about 13.09 days out.

Further out is half a million, (68,445) 67,133 votes away, still about 51.29 days out as we are currently voting.

(4,561,657) 4,574,433 votes have been counted as of 10/09/07. (11,956) 12,776 votes were cast yesterday. In order to take ownership of 10% of all votes cast yesterday, we needed to vote (1,197) 1,278 times, which we exceeded by 31 votes. We increased our share to (9.4605535%) 9.4627468% of all votes ever cast, and climbing.

We're closin' in on that 10% slice of the pie on Rich Labonte's charts! If each of us voting managed to eke out just one more vote per day, it would make a huge difference; we could start catching up on that 10%, not to mention reaching our goal numbers much more quickly.

Our 1000+/day streak is still going strong, at 71 days, continuing to beat our previous best-ever streak! Just 3 days to beat Xena's all-time record of 73 days! Let's keep the votes up, and, maintain our streak!

Ray, I'm a big fan of your stats (and I'm loving the countdown (or up?) to 10%)

I really like the addition of the previous day's stat in parentheses, but I find it a little confusing that the previous day's stat comes first. When I read a sentence like "We increased our share to (9.4605535%) 9.4627468% of all votes ever cast, and climbing", every single day my first reaction is to look at the first number, compare it with what I remember from the day before and think "that didn't go up much... oh wait, it's the second number I should be looking at".

Have you considered writing it as "We increased our share to 9.4627468% (9.4605535%) of all votes ever cast, and climbing"?
