I completely agree--I haven't really liked any of the four so far, and I'm having a hell of a time deciding whether to get the regular covers, or the variants (I wanna stick with either one version or the other all the way thru). I HATED the regular cover on #1 and thought, "Okay, I guess I'll get the variants, then." Then the ones for #2 came out, and the variant was as bad as the #1 regular one.
And there are actually people bashing Jo Chen's work on "Buffy". Unbelievable...
I'm in complete agreement w/ you...on pretty much everything. Except I'll probably get the regular covers. Well, I already ordered that for #1, and I'll probably continue that way.

Spike with the flames is groovy. In tune with the characters backstory too, which gives it more depth, but I must admit the Vamp Harem of busty clad demons is just plain bizarro.
