Hullo again all Eureka fans!!! Another tuesday night has come and gone, and we have gotten to see Jack get mauled by women... mighty amusing I must say
I hope you can all find your way back, and I have changed the name of the thread, incase nobodies noticed
As the new thread suggests, I'm considering makeing this a weekly (after every Eureka season 2 episode) discussion of what happened that week, and where you'd like to see it go from there, and any quotes/comments/whatever that you find amusing, feel free to post 'em here... Don't know why, just seems like something I will enjoy doing, and I hope I don't scare anyone off by saying that I'd like to discuss them... If ya feel like just commenting on the nights episode, thats still cool too!! Just a warning, because this is turning into a possible weekly discussion deal, I'm gunna stop using the spoiler deals and all, cause it would get kinda old posting everything we would like to discuss in spoilers... I'm kinda rambaling on now, so I'll just leave it at this for now

I was thinking this episode was going to remind me of Xander's "ordeal" in BTVS but it didn't quite measure up. Not that it was bad but it didn't make me laugh nearly as much. It reminded me more of the Northern Exposure episode where they discover a spring which has an interesting effect on the population.
More interesting to me is the other plotline which has been running throughout the season. Now it looks as though Henry is being set up to become something of a bad guy. Already he has been dishonest with Carter and now that Stark and Allison have teamed up against him he may feel like there is nothing else to lose. I get the feeling he is going to do something desperate really soon.

Oh yeah... I noticed that as well, I could see his face darkening, if that makes any sense, after Stark told him that there was nothing for him to know... I have a feeling that he may do just what Stark and Allison were worried would happen... i.e. eather tell Jack all that he knows, or go straight to the DOD with the information on the artifact and how it is connected with Alli's son... Poor Henry is gunna get royally screwed over this season, I can just FEEL it... I also kinda like the sub plots involving romance in Eureka... makes me happy that Jack found someone that he cares for there, other than his daughter, and Jo and her beu... just good happy stuff all around... glad that Jack isn't pining away after Allison again this season... I really enjoy Jack and Starks interplay now as well... there are some truely FUNNY things going on with their dialogue
like last night...
Stark: "So your saying that he is Hannibl Lecter?"
Jack: "Yeah, a homicidal genious, kinda like you, without the killing"
Stark: "Give me a minute..." (I know I probably didn't get that quote right... but I think you all got the idea of what quote I'm talking about...
)

I am really worried about Henry..( plus the actor made noises about quitting after first season so I'm hoping he stays)
I really don't know why he'd hold out on Jack and I feel it's completely unfair of him to blame Jack for Kim's death...what was Jack supposed to to, let the whole universe be destroyed so Henry could be happy?? OK I never really thought of Henry as selfish until then. I am really glad they're moving away from the Jack/Stark/Allison triangle and let Jack find someone who suits him.

Just now a strange, random thought/comment poped into my head... How come the people of Eureka, being so smart and all, can't figure out workable solutions in crisis situations? I mean, come on folks, it really wouldn't take a genious to see that Henry wasn't affected by the spores... so, cause and effect, if Henry wasn't affected, what was different about him? The asthma medicine? Well... hmmm, heres a genious idea, lets try pumping the asthma medicine through the towns ventailation system, 'cause, ya know, the spores are only being transported by that, and if the asthma medicine will block and absorb said spores.... So much for a town full of geniouses
if Carter wasn't there, they all wouldda died in the first season, probably during Jacks first day there... silly geniouses...

I like it. Although because of my shift work the last 15 years sometimes I think I am watching a new show but then I find out its been over for a while. So I do follow this one.

Wow....so many plot twists. I'm glad Jack is finding a new interest, outside the office. I'm still sorta stuck on the alternative future though, not just for Jack's sake, but also for Jo. I had high hopes of seeing her explore her naturalist experiences.
So, what's the deal here? Is the transmuting bacteria story a line of b.s.? Did Beverly and Henry simply dream that up as way to get to the kid ? What' Henry got up his sleeve ?
People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

God, I HOPE its a line of BS, but from the preview for next week, it doesn't look like it's going to be... anyone get glimmerings of "House Rules" from the preview? lol, I know I did, with the whole "Death Ray" thingy... god, this seasons finale looks AMAZING and I can't WAIT to see what Henry has up his sleeve... I KNEW something like this would happen if they kept refusing Henry's need to do research on Kims accident... Henry is a SCAREY smart guy, and I was positive that he had some idea that Brian was involved with him getting shut down...
