Oh... So she's available?
I kid, She's fantastic. And apparently used to go into my brother's bar in NYC. Looking forward to more of this show and a few others, plus some new ones.

Yes available , but likely wary...so approach gently...also she has a masters in Criminal Forensics so that might be a good conversation starter:)

Well so long as my beloved NCIS is on and Mark Harmon isn't leaving...I'm happy:)

That would be the last season, BTW, the new one hasn't started yet.

(And for Chrisisall, this really underlines Michael Weatherly's acting chops; DiNozzo is like the anti-Logan.)

And yes, I'm enough of a fan that the term "Gibbs-slap" has entered my vocabulary, and I can no longer hear the words "ya think?" without mentally adding "DiNozzo?"

I want a T-shirt that says WWGD (What Would Gibbs Do?)

Yup. LOVE the show. I'm awaiting the return of season 4 to UK screens. Although, I have already seen Jonathan Woodward's episode at a UK Firefly convention back in March. It was cool.

I started watching NCIS early into the first season. (the fourth or fifth ep, or maybe third or fourth. It was pretty early on lol, I forget.) I stumbled across it by accident one Saturday evening and was hooked right away.

I find there are some parallels (at least in terms of characterisation) to Firefly. I always find Abbey to be like Kaylee - very cheerful and a genuis in her field of work. Dinozzo is sorta like Jayne - loves women and picks on McGee, who is like Simon (He's well educated. Well spoken and polite and has the same awkwardness as Simon at times. The McAbbey 'ship is like Simon/Kaylee.) Kate reminds me of Inara a little. Duckey could be passed off as Book - very knowledgable, likes to tell stories and is caring. Gibbs is very much like Mal. He's grumpy, hates playing by the rules, and is a private person. We don't know much about his private life or if he's got a new girlfriend/wife etc.

Ziva is my favourite character though. I was a bit wary of her introduction to the show, but she's really grown on me now. I loved the fact that she was Ari's half sister. That was a great twist. She might be tough on the surface, but she's really gentle at heart, and she's just as crazy behind the wheel as Gibbs!

Abbey is another favourite character of mine. Pauley Perrette is brilliant. I didn't know that she has her own band and that she actually studied criminology in real life.

Vague comparisons to Firefly aside, what matters most about this show, imho, are the characters and how they work as a team. I'ts character driven. That's what I love about the show. The dynamic is perfect. CSI is flashy/glamourous and technical at times, and maybe takes itself too seriously. On NCIS, there's a good balance of drama, action, comedy and technical stuff. You really get to care about the characters. Also, I love the 'rules according to Gibbs' and the 'Gibbs slap.' Duckey's quirkiness, his life stories and facts are cool too.

My all time favourite episode comes from season two, when a WWII veteran walks into NCIS headquarters, and asks to be arrested for the murder of his war buddy. LOVE that episode. Great acting, and a beautiful story.

I wasn't aware of the controversy surrounding the show.. Cheers for posting the info Chrisisall.

Big NCIS fan here. And I have a copy of series 4 here in the UK. Hah.

DiNozzo, the anti-Logan? Check. I watched about half a dozen episodes befoe I placed the face.

And Abby? Truly a great character. And the relationship she has with Gibbs? A version of what I imagine Mal and River might fashion.

You just know what Mal's first sargeant, right back when he was a raw volunteer farm boy, was like, don't you?

LOL and yes I love the Gibbs/Abby dynamic. I love that she can call him grouchy and all and how protective he is of her( of course that's mainly because Abby's like his daughter and she's about all he has after losing his wife and daughter)

*thinks*

Y'know, the repeated slaps to the back of the head would probably explain how he is now. . .

I think my favorite single line is...
