Well, I dunno about BSG; on their voting thread on Skiffy, at least, they never mention Firefly in their "alliance" reminders, though Lexx does, on their own thread. BSG is courting Doctor Who, instead, and, there have been proposals to start an alliance with Xena, of all shows:

And, let us not forget that, in the noms, Dark Shadows has been increasingly generous with their support, without any formal agreements. They wouldn't detract from our average, anyway.

Point is, I'm not sure how much real help we're even getting from BSG. EKS has indicated that Skiffy is pretty much the main BSG board promoting the Vote, and, it doesn't sound so much like they have been helping us, as that they have considered asking for our help, only to turn that to proposing offering Xena help against us, instead.
At this juncture, we're doing pretty well, with the help of Lexx and the Dark Shadows folks. If we actually needed any additional help, it would be unwise to ask it of a voting group which would use our votes to get closer to where we are. Mathematically, we are doing almost as well as the next two shows, Xena and Bonanza, combined.
As it is, BSG is very mobile on the charts, and, they're becoming ambitious. Right now, they are years behind us in terms of voting. If we trade votes with them (our 1,300+ to their 600-), they get a potential 700+ vote advantage, which means they can close the gap a LOT faster.
So, I believe that the presumed BSG partnership is no longer in effect, if it ever was, nor should we pursue one.
