Anyone got a subscription to Rentrak.com or Billboard.com. Both offer access to top 10 or 20 DVD sales, but you have to pay to see the entire list, and find out exactly how Serenity CE did.

I'd say that 25 isn't bad when you consider its already been released before. I don't know how many movies do a huge amount of business in special editions (aside from the LOTR movies, in which the SE's were really completely different movies), but I'm cheered by the fact that serenity could rack up another couple million from a second release. Anyway, I did my part today.

Numbers finally came in at

Serentity was number 25, according to Nash Information Services. That's with 32,396 units sold. Hmmm, has it listed as first week of release, but in its 88th week of release.

Well that doesn't seem too shiny. I'd imagine this is why we don't have Serenity 2. Sure the CE was a huge release to us, but the rest of the country apparently didn't even notice.

*sigh*

at least I listened to one of the new commentaries this weekend and that was well worth it IMO.

I don't know--making the top 25 on as a collector's edition of a marginally-successful movie (let's be honest with ourselves) seems pretty darn good to me. We cracked the top 25, folks!
