I completely agree that the show is improving. Yesterday's episode was the best. Honestly, I didn't like it too much to start with, but I was thinking while watching it, "Wow, I actually love this show." That's not usually a good sign, but I'm holding out hope for it.

Last night's episode was a good one. I think the writing is getting a bit better, but I think the characters are starting to grow on me a bit as well.

Yep, I concur. At first I felt "Eh, who cares?" but the show has really grown on me. My husband and I both laughed outloud several times during last night's episode.
Unfortunately, I already feel certain that it will be cancelled since I have started to enjoy it.

Damn. Didn't do so well. The "die" is looking more and more likely.
Worst part is, I can't even blame Fox......for some reason, the public is just blind to the goodness of this show.

I have not seen the ratings yet. Did it bomb? I kind of figured it would going up against two of the most watched shows on tv, new csi and new apprentice. Does anyone know if it built on the lead in audience. It did the only other time it aired on thurs, but I think the apprentice was a repeat and maybe csi as well. Don't give up yet.
Edit: Just saw some basic numbers. Not very good, but at least it did not finish last.

Still, it was a good show, and perhaps some average (i.e. casual viewing) folks need a week or two to clue in that it moved.
