Ooooooh - I got a new camera too!! It's so exciting isn't it? I have to find the time to finish dying my boots before I leave for the USA on Friday though - I don't think they'd like me carrying stripper and leather dye with me - and I know I wouldn't want it to break and lead through my luggage!
3 more sleeps and I get to meet more of the battalion!!!!!!!!!!!! Wheeee!!!!

Just took a quick peek at the 10 day forecast for Atlanta...Thursday night's low is in the mid-60's which is sounding sooooooooo damn good right now. Where I live in Tennessee, we've had the records broke for longest string of 100+ degree days ever, Hottest August ever in the 157 years of record keeping and DRIEST summer/August ever... just can't stand it much longer...

Lots & lots of extra batteries. If you can swing it Energizer makes a lithium battery specifically for digital cameras that is supposed to last up to seven times longer. Worth the money to make sure your camera doesn't die at the worst time.

That weather outlook is very promising indeed, sister. 60s sound good right now, especially after the string of 100+ days we have had (though we did get a huge rain storm last Friday night.

6 days until I am on vacation (please let it come soon!). 7 days until I am on the road to Atlanta. 8 days until the Vortex Crawl. 10 days until the parade.
Hope the weather is cooler for you Jimi. We had another heavy rain storm last night. Temp is only supposed to hit 87 today, but the humidity is going back up again. Still cloudy. Reckon it beats 100+ days we were having the last couple of weeks.
