Go to my site for the .mp3 version
reversedrive.com/firefly.mp3
it's fairly compressed @ just under 400 kb, so if you arn't a download fanatic you should be able to fit it on your phone.
Works with most all newer motorolas (at least v180+)

Hopefully this thread isn't too dead to resurrect, but I've made a polyphonic midi file of the Fruity Oaty bar, complete with the vocal, harmonies, synth/organ, sitar, and percussion/handclaps. If I send it to someone, will they help me get it on my phone as a ringtone? My phone is a Motorola Q, if that makes any difference.

I found this via Google. I don't know if it will help you or not as I don't use that phone or service. I'd love to hear what you came up with the ringtone.

How do I install ringtones on my Motorola Q
On the Motorola Q, you can install your own ringtones.
On your PC, do the following:
* Open ActiveSync on your PC
* Click the Explore button
* Double-click the device icon. (My Windows Mobile powered device)
* Open the Application Data folder
* Open the Sounds folder
* Drag the ringtone file from your desktop folder into the into the sounds folder
* Disconnect your Moto Q
Now, on your Motorola Q, do the following:
* Press Start (Left Soft Key)
* Scroll to and Select Settings
* Scroll to and Select Sounds
* Scroll to Ring tone, and Press the Navigation Key right or left to scroll to the desired ring tone.
* Press Done (Left Soft Key)
Congratulations, you've just installed a custom ringtone on your Moto Q.

Thank you very much. I'll have a go at that this evening.
As well, if anyone is interested in having this midi/ringtone, I'm more than happy to share it with all of you. As well, if this place wants to host it (it seems to host most Firefly/Serenity related things), that's also fine granted I get credited for it.

Correction. For nokia, you need to the "Nokia PC Suite" program. I think you can down load it at their site. If not let me know, ithink my wife's phone is a nokia and she got some custom ringtones on it before. Sorry, it slipped my mind.
