Well an update of sorts if you don't know already.

Ron Glass is coming aboard and has provided voiceover from a promo for the cruise.

Michael Fairman, Niska himself, will be aboard to torture all.

The Bedlam Bards, masters of 'Verse song, will be playing during the cruise.

Lastly, Clare Kramer, Glory from the Buffy 'Verse, and host extrodinaire during B3 in December will be aboard as well.

New guests are right around the corner with a couple of more passengers, sponsors and donations.

BTW, no way am I passing up Cabo in December for such a cheap price. When you break down the math, the cruise is actually cheaper than a land based convention.

For anyone needing costumes for this event, I collected a store-room full of items (I do costumes) for last year's Browncoat Ball. We had two different gatherings that were 'costumed'...and then of course there are the days sight-seeing where you just want to go 'verse-inspired'. So...if anyone needs anything to wear, head over to my ebay auctions!

For those who don't know me, I've been around forever...since the show was on TV. I used to come here more often, but life keeps me busy. My daughter Ewok used to hang here quite a bit, but she's off working this summer. Anyway, I'm a Browncoat from way back, was an extra in the movie and am way into 'costumes'. In preparation for last year's Browncoat Ball, Shawn Trpcic sent me behind the scenes photos of the extras in the ep Shindig, so I was able really see what she had done in the mixing of eras and ethnicities to create that wonderful array of color, texture and richness. To that end, and with being in the movie (different costumer then), and with watching 'crowd scenes' in other eps, I've come up with what I like to call 'inspired' outfits. If anyone has any questions, please contact me on the ebay board, I might not be able to find it here if you reply (does this board give notices of replies?).

Anyway...thanks for reading! Have fun! And not to 'arm twist' or anything...but IF I sell enough auctions, I MIGHT be able to go on the cruise!! I know time is running out, so please, if you are planning on getting a costume anyway, won't ya check out what I have *with lot's more to come over the next few weeks*.

More shiny guests are going on the cruise!

In the spirit of never say never, we have some truly wonderful news. Guess who's joining us? That would be Mr. Jonathan Woodward who played Tracey on the Firefly episode "The Message" and also appeared in Buffy and Angel! Jonathan called this morning and is excited to be partying with us on the high-seas. We welcome him and his unique brand of fun. Thanks Jonathan!

But he isn't alone. The illustrious blues musician Sonny Rhodes, who performed the Firefly theme song, is joining us for his very first Firefly fan event. Sonny, who never alters an event, rescheduled a concert so he could be part of our experience, meet the Browncoats and perform for us.

We have verbal commitments and are finalizing the contracts with them this week.

So if you have a friend who was looking for another reason to join us, and wants to help us get back into the black, remember we have a handful of cabins available that we expect to go fast. Please contact us immediately if you are interested in joining our newly improved cruise.

Since we are still a bit in the red, we are still accepting donations to help cover the costs of these new guests. As a thank you, everyone who donates or has donated can have their name printed in our Souvenir Book if they wish. Thanks! :-)

A Few More Cabins (going fast!)

Great news. It looks like Carnival has managed to open up a few more cabins for us. So if you missed your opportunity to join us for Browncoat Cruise, now is your last chance.

There is one catch, they can't hold the rooms for us for much longer, so please contact us immediately and let us know if you are interested.

Also, the price is a bit more that it was earlier this year, because we have to pay the current rate.

We don't have our store updated with the new prices, but prices will range between $920 and $1399 per person depending on the room type you choose.

So please help us get back into the black and snatch up these few cabins while they are still available. Please email if you are interested and we will get you on the list, and arrange payment right away.

Quick update: We just got our new pricing from the cruise line and, the pricing is better than we feared, there are two room types available:

Inside cabin: $770 per person (based on double occupancy)
Oceanview cabin: $950 per person (based on double occupancy)

Email me us and include number of people you'd like in your cabin (minimum 2, max 3) and their full names. I'll get the store updated shortly so you can actually order, but we need to get the names of interested parties turned in asap, so we can hold the cabins.
