joss to make straight-to-dvd firefly episodes?!

i may be totally behind, but i was reading fark.com today and saw this: "He'd (joss) like to follow in JMS' footsteps and do a direct-to-DVD film or two, possibly in the Firefly/Serenity 'verse." it was on the firefox news website, last paragraph in an article about joss's "ripper" movie. i am going to be perpetually crossing my fingers hoping that happens.

That's not what Joss said at his Comic-Con session. Someone asked about the JMS/Babylon 5 issue, and Joss said that he thought a lot of people right now are starting to look at a number of different ways to get their work made.

It was a general statement, and consistent with much of the rest of his talk (creator-owned comics, Ripper via the BBC, a short film ballet for Summer, etc.) and was not a direct statement of any kind about Firefly.

Doesn't mean it won't happen someday. Joss and all the actors want Firefly/Serenity to continue. We hold 'til Mal gets back.
