FM,
I have to agree with you. It was so awful that I was almost laughing.

I bet ole C.B. DeMille was spinning in his grave. BTW he's a distant cousin on my mother's side so I was especially horrified.

Oh no! Eeeep!

My hubby said despite Morena ( he thinks she's the most beautiful woman in the world! ) "it sucked!"
"Worst Saturday night disaster they've ever shown."
Ah well, we got to see BDH's act together for a few moments.

The soda and popcorn were good.

DeMille is so fascinating himself. Someone needs to do a good biographical film on him.

His father was from my hometown of Washington, NC. He almost became an Episcopal priest but went north to NYC to eventually write and produce plays.

C.B's mom was from a good family in NYC and was raised Jewish. Both families objected to the marriage and she eventually became an Episcopalian. Her husband died young and she was left nearly penniless with 2 boys to raise.

She became the first woman to produce plays in NYC and also ran a boarding school.

C.B. did visit Washington once and he filmed the wedding of one of my grandmother's best friends. The film was shown for years in the local theater.

I think his best film is "The Greatest Show on Earth" He got a fantastic performance out of Jimmy Stewart as the clown.

Of course there was that little mini-series called Battlestar Galactica staring a couple of Academy Award winning actos. That was good! :-)

Meh. It was okay. It strayed from the original waaay too much.

Starbuck is a woman? That'll never work. And where the hell is Muffit?

I'd think it was a no brainer myself. Adam has done the is he evil or not oh wait he's evil character so many times that it'd add to the drama for him to wind up good. It'd be like a free shock twist ending for any movie/show.

Just for your info, Mininova has a torrent to it. Mmmm looks like it's a really bad movie, but Adam is such a yummy sight...I thought he was playing a good guy, now knowing that he dies it's a huge disappointment! No romantic love story with Morena???

OK I thought it was so cute during the "hostage" scene when Adam is dragging Morena back to the car and he's in foreground...you can see him gently helping her into the car...maybe we should go over the concept of hostage with him

I'm glad it strayed from the original. It's the best show on television. Starbuck's my favorite character.

Absolutely! I agree. Best movie and oh how I loved Jimmy Stewart in that. *sigh* Before Nathan Fillion Jimmy Stewart was my all time favorite actor. And when I think of how Nathan acts, it reminds me a great deal of Mr. Stewart. Same good with the serious and the funny.

Hey, a biography of Mr. DeMille would be good! Who should play him?

Oh Man! I just read a bunch of the reviews fellow Browncoats gave the movie--I feel so bad for Adam and Morena! But what did you expect--they were co-staring with Homer Simpson (Dan Castalneta (SP?))

I would still like to see it though--I mean why not, what else do i have to do--does sci-fi releas their movies on DVD or do they just replay them--I don't have cable so I wouldn't be able to watch it there...anyone know?
