As to the Max and Logan thing in season two, am I the only one who thought they should have been fiddling with Logan's genetics to fix it instead of Max's? If you find a way to make him immune to it, it doesn't matter that it's keyed to his DNA. OR however that worked. Haven't watched any of the eps in a while.

And I thought White was a great villan. Like Lydecker, he believed his path was the right one. I love righteous villans. However, I would have glady seen him destroyed if it meant we got Lydecker back.

big fan of DA. season 1 is better than 2. but something bothered me from the beginning. it was the idea that everyone in the future speaks ebonics. i mean, even the rich white cyber terrorist ended his hacks with " peace, out."

i think this is where buffy has DA beat. JW created his own rhythm of language that made the show timeless and gave it mass appeal. the problem with street slang on tv is that its usually about 2 year behind the street. it felt like DA was trying too hard to reach the youth demo.

it didn't stop me from loving DA. it just worried me from the start that too much dated slang would prevent the show from finding the diverse audience that it would need to keep its ratings up.

and then came season 2. silly me, thinking they would alienate the audience with language. they decided to do it with critters. nobody likes ugly mutants. mutants that look like jessica alba, good. mutants that look like dogs and lizards, bad.

that didn't stop me from spending an entire evening tracking down the last copy of DA s2 in town at borders. one of the holders in the case was broken and it scratched a disc so badly that it wouldn't play, so i had to resurface it. i couldn't exchange it because there were no more copies to be had anywhere in my town at the time. i want what i want, when i want it.

ocd.

Berrisford Agenda, Some Assembly Required...

I remember Some Assembly Required, but not the Berrisford Agenda.

I did buy the DVD set for DA.S2, just in case I ever wanted to go back and watch them, but I’ve not yet. I still watch DA.S1. Flushed remains my all time favorite.

Truth to tell, it's been a while since I hung with the boys in the hood, so my street slang is a little dated itself. So as far as I'm concerned, the slang in DA is a combo of retro, real, and made up stuff, so that means it's sorta timeless IMO.
Aiight boo?

You know, I liked the creature aspect of season two. Got no problems with mutants and monsters. I think they're cool.
