Thanks for the welcome, Don. Made me feel right at home. To reply to your question regarding how I found firefly ....

I watched the series from the very beginning & just LOVED it! I thought it was so creative & smart. I couldn't believe it when they cancelled it. I, however, was not online at the time & I didn't watch all that much TV back then. I had NO idea there were such devoted fans as this out there. I was very excited about the movie when I saw the trailer. Unfortunately I live in a very small town & our little movie theatre didn't get it, so I had to drive almost 40 miles to another larger town to see it. I am proud to say I did this twice!:D I have since bought both the movie & the series on DVD. I've been re - enjoying it all. I just recently got the internet (I seem to always be late to the party!) & typed in Firefly, totally not expecting a whole lot & WOW, I was amazed! I'm so glad to see there are still fans out here like this where you can go & celebrate this wonderful show! Anyhow, thats my story & thanks for askin'.

The double post thing happens plenty, so don't worry about that either (you did the right thing by editing one of the copies).

So you're one of us lucky (?) folks who saw the series on The-Network-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named, eh? What a cluster that was. I actually lost track of it due to all the preemptions, and missed some of the first runs. In fact I thought it was cancelled before it was, so I got disappointed, thrilled, and then crushed again. Grrr! Arrgh!

Since you didn't make a "hello" post over in General Discussions, it seems our supply officer FollowMal hasn't found you to issue you your virtual browncoat. So let me dig through my recycled and (mostly) refurbished stash... hmm, this could work if you don't mind a couple stains I couldn't quite brush out.

I'm relatively new to firefly my art teacher got me hooked on it end of the fall semester and I love it with a passion wish I had seen it before loved serenity but I'm afraid my cravings ain't satisfied not to whine but I WANT MORE anyway heres some of my favorite quotes

Mal- Kaylee, what the hell's goin' on in the engine room? Were there monkeys? Some terrifying space monkeys maybe got loose?

(after running into the man that attached jayne)

One of my favourite quotes is from the outakes of Serenity. You know after Shepherd has died & Mal's telling the crew to disguise Serenity as a Reaver's ship? Well . . .

Mal: String up those bodies & tie them to the nose of the ship. Put Book front & centre, he's our friend, we should honour him. Kaylee, go find that kid sleepin with baby Jesus, we need a hood ornament. Jayne! try not to steal too much of their shit!

Lol!!! It's not word for word but that's pretty much it.
