Anyone notice that the shot of River sat in that typical "angsty teen" pose is mirrored from the actual scene?
Seeing as Doctor Who has got mentioned here, Delia Derbyshire's original 1963 version of the theme tune is a brilliant pioneering piece of electronic music, considering the (lack of) technology at the time.

It was only supposed to be a "musique concrete" rhythm track to back an orchestral score, but she realised it so well it easily stood on its own.
So ironically, the current version of the theme is probably closest to how it was originally conceived to sound by the composer Ron Grainer...

Also gotta love the Dr Who earlier title sequence. Not sure which series it's from but is black and white. The 'wormhole' effect was created by filming the monitor of the actual camera filming the monitor.
Not only a cool effect but also an unintentional (I think) glimpse into the Doctors life. A bit like the Doctor keeps coming full circle in his life.
