Bottom line: as much as I love Jewel, she's just not Carson. That single event pissed me off more than anything on TV ever has. While I am glad to hear that he will be back for a few eppys next season...still. It's not the same.

I do hope Jewel does well, but I hope that her being the new doc doesn't prevent Carson from coming back full time.

I don't have cable, but the show does air late on saturday nights in Milwaukee. Just have to keep awake to watch it or stop posting here, which is what I am usually doing. Also won't see Jewel for another season since the broadcast at least one season behind SciFi. And I don't think Stargate Atlantis will go off the air until they have had every science fiction personality show up for at least one episode. How many did the have on the original Stargate? I lost count.

I love the show already but I can't wait now that Jewel's gonna be in it!
I'll always miss Carson.

Well, caught Jewel on the season finale of Atlantis Friday night. Good to see her on the television again. Was it just me or did she look like she has put on some weight?

Her character came across as unsure of herself and a bit whiny. She did seem in her element later when they were doing triage on the wounded, but still too early to tell how her character will shape up.
