Digital effects artist Bryan Whitaker live interview on 'Film Nut'.

It was mostly general tech stuff, but there was about two minutes on Firefly at around the 30-minute mark.

Nah, not silly at all. Firefly should just be F, but oh well. And it looks like Bryan Whitaker isn't with Zoic anymore.
