I, too, will miss him. Teared up even though I'd read a spoiler and knew it was coming sometime this season.

What's up with the doctors always getting killed on the Stargate shows? They killed off Dr. Frasier on SG1, now this.

I really think they could have done a lot more with his character. I suppose, if this changes McKay in some profound way, it'll be worth it. Maybe.

I hope they don't kill off Zelenka!

Yeah, you're right. Caroline Cave has similar facial features to Jewel Staite. After closer examination, here's what I found:

Caroline Cave as Dr. Cole

Jewel Staite as Dr. Keller

I guess the girl in the "Click" cologne commercial looks more like Jewel than Ms. Cave does. But at a glance without immediate reference material (ie. a poster featuring the luscious Jewel Staite) handy, it's not hard to see how I made the mistake.

Well, as much as I would like to say I didn't know it was coming, I did. I stumbled across a spoiler a few months back that mentioned Carson being killed off and being replaced by a character played by Jewel. I didn't know it was going to happen on this particular episode, but I knew he was a marked man.

Carson's death seemed orchestrated a bit too much to me. Why did he insist on transporting the bomb to the disposal squad? Why not toss it out a window? Why not set it down and evecuate the room? It just didn't sit right with me and still doesn't.

Carson isn't necessarily my favorite character, but I hate seeing weak writing when dealing with a character's death.
