I'm the only one I know who ever watched Doctor Who!
(Well, except for the English kid who first told me about it when I was 6)!
Didn't really start watching until I was in my early teens, then caught the tail-end of the Tom Baker era and most of the Peter Davison eps.
Oh, and the 1996 movie on F*x. (Loved the motorcycle dopplering through the TARDIS!)

Like somebody mentioned, it's sometimes hard for a Yank like me to follow the dialogue in all it's "Brit-ness", so I look to...

I just finished watching "The Doctor Dances", and I have to say I fall deeper in love with Rose with each passing episode!
How is that possible?
Because Rose is having so much damn FUN with this whole situation!
From the get-go, she acclimated really well, really quick!
None of that "This can't be real!" malarkey!
She's got the perfect attitude, and she asks the right questions.
(Billie Piper should work with Joss!)

Can't easily imagine David Tennant & Freema Agyeman topping these performances, but I'm trying to keep an open mind.

I just finished watching "Family of Blood" and it was just wonderful! This 2-parter is definitely one of my favorites thus far!

I actually caught a tear in my eye at the end. I just wish one of these times that instead of a character catching The Doctor from afar, would instead walk (or wheel) up to him and shake his hand. That would just be downright awesome to me.

But, I guess it just wouldn't be Doctor Who if he did.

My brother is in Afghanistan, and he's asked me to download a bunch of stuff for him to watch and to send it over. I'm waiting for the last four eps of WHO to broadcast so that I can send the stuff to him. I literally cannot wait to hear his response to "Family of Blood" and the war memorial ending. I think he'll actually tear up.

This week's episode was great. I was a bit concerned prior to watching it because of it being a "Doctor-lite" episode (and last year's "Love & Monsters" I thought was just terrible), but when I found out it was a Steven Moffat script my expectations were back up again.

VERY creepy, yet lots of fun (typical for a Steven Moffat script). I would love to see them bring Carey Mulligan ('Sally Sparrow') back next season, she was really good!

* Also, if Russell T. Davies does decide to leave the show as Executive Producer after next season...what about Steven Moffat to replace him? In addition to his great writing, four of the BEST episodes of the revived series, he does have Executive Producer credits from "Coupling". I think he could take the show in an interesting direction.

Carey Mulligan was great, especially since she was the main character in the show and was in almost every scene.
A nice build up that made you think wtf and then paid it all off.

I too was worried that this may be another Love & Monsters but it so wasn't. Great episode and those angels were definitely creepy. Might make you look twice or not blink when you pass by a statue.

Also the conversation with the DVD was funny and well done. Won't say to much more in case someone hasn't seen it yet.

Also I love these little snippets you see of adventures that don't get televised.

Looking forward to next week. The return of my second favourite captain...

Was "Love & Monsters" the one where Moaning Myrtle gets turned into a floor tile?
-If so, hated it.

I absolutely loved this episode. "Blink" had me on the edge of my chair. I thought it was awesome (if a tiny bit obvious) how they tricked the angels. And the DVD converstation was very intelligently done as well.

That's 4 in a row, to me, that have just been outstanding episodes(yes, I liked 42). Now what in the world am I going to do when they eventually air over here?

Heh, the answer's easy.....

Watch 'em again!

Yup, the impossibly cute Shirley Henderson was by far the only enjoyable thing in that episode.

Have to agree with you there. Hated the episode, but Shirley is just too cute for me not to watch it occasionally.
