Wasn't this Tim Minear's screw up *wink* - I think he wrote and directed OoG. Still, it seems a big gaff doesn't it? I've seen it done on people whose hearts have stopped beating in movies but don't recall anyone stabbing their own heart with adrenaline. I do remember Aeryn's mother on Farscape taking an adrenaline drug/shot but it certainly wasn't direct to the heart like what Mal did.

Tim did write it. As co-Executive Producers both Tim and Joss are culpable and clueless to what an addrenaline shot to the heart would do to a man.

Silly boys -- looking for excitement...

Don't get me wrong -- I love OoG (my favorite episode). Perfect flashback within flashback technique, plenty of memorable lines, wonderful crew interaction, terrific story -- all shiny. It's just that the whole scene was so unnecessary to carry the story and I really had to consciously 'suspend disbelief' to get back into the episode.

I've found a blooper. In Serenity when they are braking in to the hold of the deralict you can see the stuff "Sticky" uses to "boil" the door lock before its been applyed.

Here's another, that I noticed rewatching Shindig this weekend. At one point, while Mal and Inara are dancing, you can see Morena's microphone slip out of the back of her dress at the waist.

I saw this once, years ago, at a showing of "Time Bandits". In one sequence you could see the mike on its boom, first pointing to one character, then another, as they spoke. It went on so long that the audience began to shout for the projectionist to put down his doobie and fix it.

Since it was in Santa Cruz, CA, it's quite possible they were right....

Oh, bugger! Now I have to wait for someone to wake up!

OK, I'm not sure if this has been commented on yet, or even if I saw it correctly (I loaned out my DVD's and am still awaiting their return anxiously) In Ariel, when Jayne gets shot by the Alliance, was he handcuffed before he was shot, then not when he hit the ground. I remember that bothering me the last time I watched though I didn't go back and check to see if I saw it correctly.

I only fell is all.

Got to go back and look at that myself. They were in the process of handcuffing him, but it may be that he broke away before they finished; i.e., only one hand. Things go by so fast sometimes you miss them, like in the next sequence I was thinking "no, he was handcuffed in back, and now his hands are in front.." but then there was that quick little shot of him scooting his feet through. Hats off to Jayne for that one, couldn't have been easy for somebody that big and muscular..LOL

I thought it was that too at first. But there's another problem. If the debris was 'blown out' of the cargo bay, wouldnt it still be moving outwards with respect to Serenity? It couldnt all of a sudden stop with respect to the ship, since there is no friction or any force stopping it.

And another problem - we see later in the episode that, just before Mal falls down to the floor of the cargo bay, the other ship is still there. The episode opens with a shot of Serenity with nothing anywhere nearby. The two exterior shots should take place at exactly the same moment in time, but they're very different.
