I saw the re-airing of the pilot and then this week's show.

I enjoyed them both, but not nearly at the FF level. But it doesn't matter.

My wife gave it the big raspberry, plus she doesn't like me identifying with twenty-something young women. 'nuff said.

So, I won't be wonderfalling very often. Too bad.

whipped, are we?

Book: I'd forgotten - you're moonlighting as a criminal mastermind now.
Simon: No, but I'm thinking about growing a big black mustache. I'm a traditionalist.

It may be a good show but I no longer have any desire to patronize Fox and its sponsors by watching any new shows after the treatment that Firefly received.

Frankly, I'd think a great many people at this site would feel the same way instead of wanting to eagerly run back for another new show hoping that MAYBE Fox will let this one survive. Sooner or later, you have to vote with your remote. My 2 cents.

Yes, but we're torn between wanting to punish F*x, which screwed Firefly, and wanting to support Tim Minear, who did so much for Firefly, and is the exec producer of Wonderfalls.

Please help Haken keep this site running by occasionally clicking on some of the sponsored ad links on the right of the page!

Not being a Nielson viewer, my remote is not capable of voting. I refuse to let Fox dictate what I do or do not watch in any way whatsoever. If I DON'T watch a quality show for the simple reason it is on Fox, the idiots win.

If I /was/ a Nielson viewer, I would still watch, as I COULD vote and maybe keep an intelligent program on the air.

I really enjoyed the premiere - the second ep wasn't as strong as the 1st - although there were moments I really felt for Jaye, throughout the whole of it, I mainly felt it wasn't quite as good as the first one.

We'll keep watching for now, as there is little else on that we bother to watch. Besides, it's pretty good.

Fox won't let it last.

I can't help but not want to get TOO attached.

but there is a simply fact that may allow Wonderfalls to survive long enough to get an audience (and why most scifi programing dies).

It's cheap(ish).

now you say 'how do you know that and what does that have to do with anything?'. How do I know it's cheap? Because of this is a little known fact about Niagira Falls. the best place to view the falls (and the side that they show in the show) is the Canadian side. that means some (if not all) of the show is filmed in Canada which is much cheaper to film in. Add in the fact that many of the actors are Canadian, this brings the cost per episode down alot.
And that is where scifi TV lives and dies, the cost per episdoe verses the ratings.

I kinda feel like I'm getting my spite on by watching this show which fox so obviously is encouraging to fail. Especially since, you know, Tim. It's fun. Too bad I don't have a Nielson Box so my spite will remain unregistered.
