Coming in October from Diamond Select Toys, "Inara Strikes" is 7" tall (in scale with the action figures and the River statue) and limited to 1,000 pieces. $99, but if you preorder it you can get it for 20% off.

I'm kind of sad that of all the ways to depict Inara, this is the one they chose.
Fighting is about as much part of her personality as it is Kaylee's or Simon's. And at least neither of those two would be wearing this ridiculous Xena costume. 
Oh well.

But wasn't she actually wearing that during the fight scene? Been a while since I watched the movie but I'm pretty sure she was. It's her pose I don't like. Standing up in the awkward angle, putting herself in full view of any incoming projectile, so stupid. But hey only way to show her bod I guesse.
So from this angle I have to say, that could be anybody. Doesn't look like her at all and that pisses me off. Still, it's something.

Oh yes, she was wearing that in the movie. I didn't like it there, either. I doubt that even someone as un-warrior-like as Inara would find it necessary to wear nothing but a glorified sports bra when flying into uncertain battle threats with her rebel friends.
I was no fan of the impracticality of the bolt-thrower, either, but at least that one can be explained away by it giving her a sense of security when facing certain death, because it's a weapon familiar to her.
What was Joss thinking???

Agreed. If I had heard about an Inara statue I would never have thought they would depict her in a fighting pose w/ a weapon. I would have thought it would be her in one of her gorgeous, exotic dresses standing all composed and such.
This statue really doesn't do it for me. I will buy it because I am a complete addict for any merchandise from Firefly or Serenity.

I thought the costume Inara woar in the film & as shown on the statue is fine since she was a Whore.
P.S. Inara at least doesn't look like a strumpet even in that ridiculous outfit though still pleasing on the eye.
