I was wondering if anyone has done this? I'm thinking about making one, but I'm not exactly sure where to start.
I have some basic concepts for weapons/props, but the rest of the costume I really don't know. Something zombie-ish I would assume.

If you have access to Serenity:the Official Visual Companion look at p. 75 for some idea of a costume. If you are clever with makeup you might be able to gain some ideas from p113, 146, & 147.
And the Serenifly website is very cool. http://serenifly.tripod.com/reavers.html has some pics of costumes of everybody including reavers.

I remember seeing in a photo book from about 9 years ago, of people at the the Torture Garden (a fetish/fantasy club night in London - still going!), a picture of some guy with some freaky makeup where it looked like he had slit his face in a cross, forehead to chin and cheek to cheek, and the four corners pealed and pinned back. Very reaver-ish.
Unfortunately, its out of print and hard to find, but here's a link showing the cover in case it's in some second-hand book store somewhere:-

See if you can get ahold of artcat anywheres. She owns an official Reaver costume; I have seen pictures.
NOT zombie-ish, though. Looked bulky, patched-together, heavy-duty and combat-ready.![]()
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
A troll's hair is still pointy, even when it's wearing a hat.
