Some of the actors who have been named here-Cillian Murphy, Jonathan R. Myers-are actually Irish.

Now, the Irish Firefly would have been interesting!
A lot more scenes in pubs, a great deal more dialogue, and, due to the tiny budget, the excellent Brendan Glesson would play all the roles!
(Inara would be a particular triumph)

Yeh another gay captain from Britain just peachy. Picard homilies whoopdy do. Mal and Kirk are Canadian but hey they pass for bad asses.

It would probably show on our Public Broadcasting Network. It is where most of the better British programing ends up. It is where I watched Dr Who.

I would love an Irish version. Balykissangel in space. You could use a lot of the same characters with changing the show. I think it would work.
