My recollection was the first time I tried to register, the confirmation email didn't show up; if you dig a bit, you can find a place "resend email confirmation" (or something like that); have them do so.

One of the reasons I have not wanted to post at the scifi site is there are too many flame wars going on

The site seems to attract to worst kinds of people

I can only say the topics I've followed and posted on in the past on SciFi have been pretty well behaved; I was rather surprised this flared up as it did. On the other hand, in the past I had only looked at some pretty "targeted" threads, so perhaps my experience isn't the common one.

I see what's wrong now, I've been banned before posting a single post on that site !!

It appears the scifi administrators decided to hand out mass-bannings to stop the flood of non-bsg fandoms coming to their forum

Well, not sure if it makes you feel any better, but they might well have been trying to block out a set of "cheaters" who were trying to create a large number of id's so they could vote multiple times; and you might have got caught up in that.

At this point the contest seems to have blown out the flame, and it progressing pleasently. You might (or might not) want to take another stab at registration. So far Serenity is holding her own....

Personally, now that scifi blocked me,
I've no time for those scifi administrators

Scifi can run whatever polls they want on that site. Serenity is an icon and everyone who knows Firefly loves it unlike BSG. Serenity went out with a bang and no dumb Skiffy game is going to put a dent in her, and in dull soap opera dramas like the new BSG things get worse before they get better

There's no need for scifi to reimagine flying cycles.
For me this stupid bsg series jumped the shark a long time ago

Definitely, this should be done for fun than anything else; while I'd like to see serenity come out on top, it is, at the end, nothing more than a game.
