If you Could Invoke a Vengeance Demon...

I used to hold grudges like nobody's business, wishing death on anyone who crossed me -- my seventh-grade best friend who dumped me for a new best friend, the physics teacher who thought I'd cut class when I'd actually been part of a school-sanctioned charity event, the owner of the car-towing company that towed my car when it was only three minutes over the metre, etc.
But it's funny... at some point, the longing for vengeance just kind of vanished. Maybe it was because holding on to the grudges was starting to give me incipient ulcers. Even just sitting here, when I try to re-create those feelings, I start to get a little queasy.
So, no vengeance demon for me -- not because I'm such a good person, but because it turns out I literally don't have the stomach for it :)
Peace,
Indigo S.

Hey there River. Seems you touched on a subject that interested me slightly.
The way I see it the worst demons we invoke are the ones that come strictly from ourselves. Using them causes us to lose part of ourselves to the anger leaving smoking holes not unlike bullet holes. Sure it can be patched, but there always seems to be something missing. Something we can never get back.
I would wish to warn anyone from even considering such things. To sacrafice a piece of yourself for such things boarders on evil and perpetuates terrible cycles the world can no longer afford to sustain.
Not to say I'm a saint. Those feelings do surface occasionally. And it does take a considerable amount of restraint to quell those feelings. Moreso than it used to. But there has to be respite from those things somewhere. Why not create that place within ourselves?

Also, if I would want to take this topic a step further. I would also like to make it a point to mention that The Judeo-Christian God is also a vengence minded sort of spirit since he did say "Vengeance is Mine." I have a problem with this BTW. If vengeance is "his" then how come he never got revenge for me when I was getting my butt kicked when I was younger? No, I rather have a real verngence demon who keeps his/her word and exact justice/vengeance on my behalf instead of giving "Vengeance is Mine" speeches.

"Vengeance is mine" (The way I interpret it) states that any consequence/punishment implied upon the person who wronged others is his/its to dish out. We (under Gods mandate) cannot even imply the need for vengeance. That in itself is a sin. We are to turn the other cheek and leave the consequence to God.
Those who have arranged meetings fall under that mandate too. I think God will take those folks who've wronged others in good time when he sees fit. My dilemma has been on the side of protecting those who would be harmed until God gets puts the perps under his/its thumb.
Along with the ass whoopins there is a whole line of bad things people do to others. I'm not saying it's right, but sometimes those things have to be stopped despite the edict of mans interpretation of Gods laws.

Anyone who has wronged me in the romantic sense (read: dumped me) has paid in full by having chosen vastly inferior and/or abusive dudes with which to join their interlocking parts.
No need for a vengeance demon, sorry.

I would get my revenge demon to do my laundry and cook me supper.

Vegeance shall be mine! There are so many I would enjoy reeking havoc upon in so many ways. I'm getting all tingly just thinking about it. Due to time constraints I'll limit myself to people who hold me up in traffic, at the post office, or in any other sort of checkout line. I would have them rooted permenantly to the spot they seem to enjoy with their arms bound above their heads so that they would be unable to scatch the everpresent itch at the ends of their noses. Then place a juicy cheeseburger and tasty beverage on a pedastal just far enough away that their tongue could not reach.
I'm sure there are plenty of people who would like to get a bit of revenge on me and I'm fine with that, don't want to be a hyprocrite. After all, revenge is one of the few things which seperates us from animals.
To quote Eric Cartman, "revenge is so very, very sweet".

I would make the Special Hell very very real for everyone who has ever molested a child. Understand, I mean actual molesting of children, not getting into the statutory laws, because that gets very slippery and they don't all deserve this fate. But a child, someone who hadn't gone through puberty, someone who was barely old enough to dress themselves, that kind of thing... They would all be castrated, slowly roasted over a pit of hot coal until they were barely breathing, and then tossed into a volcano, never to spread their poison again. Why? I've seen a very dear friend of mine struggle with the scars of that abuse, and no one in the world should ever face what she has faced.
Then I'd move on to the violent rapists. They would also be castrated, and then their hands and feet would be cut off, and their teeth pulled out one by one, and then they'd be infected with every STD known to man and left to rot. I have similar reasons for that one.
Then I'd keep it in my pocket and send it after anyone who was being nasty for no reason, and it would tweak their nose and ears, and then pull their hairs out one by one if they continued being a jackass for the sake of being a jackass. And anyone who thought it would be a good idea to drive 5 miles below the speed limit would find steam billowing out of their engine so they would have to get out of my way. Then anyone at a store or park or something who was walking slowly and in a curvy line, getting in the way of everyone who actually knows where they're going, would just be quietly glued to a wall or patch of ground under a tree and out of the way until they made up their minds where they needed to be. Because those kind of people annoy me.
I think that's everything.![]()

Yes, you have thought about this one way too long but I like it!
Remind me to never, ever, ever get on your bad side...
