I still don't see this as confirmation that the cast listing is legit. Cinescape was just reporting what was posted at browncoats.com, not giving corroborative evidence that it is correct information.

I simply posted a link to Cinescape's article about the cast list at Browncoats.com (which is now removed at the request of the copyright holder).

I'm really surprised at the way Cinescape makes it sound so official. "Serenity Cast Leaked" is a pretty strong headline.

I truly hope the casting list is fake.

This is surprisingly little info to go on to freak out this early in the game. Leaked script, and that's another story...

I'd like to add that, while I truly hope the casting list is fake, I'm not "freaking out."

Trusting Joss is not the issue, it's trusting the source of the casting list.

a) a belief that this is not up to Firefly standards

legit sources: casting agents, daily variety, drama-logue, backstage.
i've got a friend in l.a. who's a casting director. will see if i can get some info.

Considering Browncoats.com were told to take it down I actually believe this might be the real thing. Universal or any of the prodcution companies involved in the movie wouldn't have bothered to go through the lengths of getting it removed if it wasn't legit.
