Well, I'd get it just for the new cover anyway!!!

Okay...I've googled and googled and looked and looked, and I still can't see the llama on the original artwork! Anyone have a link to an enlarged, outlined, highlighted, or otherwise dummy-proof llama location system? (BTW...new cover is muuuuuch better. Although they already had me at cast commentary).

I'll second this request. As for the new artwork...well, lets just say I have to go change my pants.

I have two questions...
1)why is this info not on universals site yet? Are we sure it's for real?
2) Does anyone here, perhaps a proffesional photographer, own one of those nifty programs that are made specifically for blowing up photos? I'm not talking about photoshop or paintshop... there's supposed to be some programs out there that will give you a really good quality enlargement... none of the graininess that usually happens.
Anyway, the reason for the second question is, I wanna slap this thing on a tshirt!

When the original cover art was first released, nobody could figure out what all the things were in the background (between Zoe and Mal). The general consensus was that they were some sort of space llama (spllama?), and since then the critters have been running amok around here.

Somehow I missed that...I always figured they were supposed to be reavers, even though they look like plain ole zombies. I thought maybe to save money they just used the background as the Dawn of the Dead DVD.

I posted on Serenity Stuff:
I’ll buy it to support Firefly/Serenity,
but except for the new cast commentaries,
it still isn’t up to par with the Australian 2-disc release.
Joss did a truly special 45 minute Q&A with an
Australian audience that doesn’t seem to be on the US Special Edition.

Serenity IS a darker story than the Firefly TV series,
but I was drawn to the lighter aspects of the movie (and then the series) and
the black cover with the intense faces doesn’t speak to the adventure and action elements that sold me on the BDM.
The positive thing to say is that the Universal marketing people weren’t allowed to attack this cover
with their air brushes and photoshop tools!
I guess the change I would make would be to use the dark blue of the movie posters rather than black.

Mike
