I have two things I was wondering if anyone can help me with.

1 - Has anyone made Wash's uniform?

Before I start looking for myself, i was wondering if anyone found a good place to get the orange jumpsuit or the vest that he wears.

2 - Has anyone 3D- modelled Serenity before? My friend is planning on modelling it for me but if someone has taken a crack at it or can give me blueprints for the ship, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Also I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this.

I think, and I could be wrong, that the pants are a pair of some fat guy's old parachute pants from 1982.......Or, I could be right.....

The costume is just an orange jumpsuit with the sleaves cut off, a brown long sleave shirt and the darkbrown vest over it. The vest is going to be the hardest to find.

You might try an army surplus type tore for the costume bits. I bet you can find a vest that's close and you might even be able to snag the jumpsuit too.

And refering to the modeling there is a mesh for Lightwave (I think v7) here http://lwg3d.org/v3/meshes.php?item=515

Well I'm on my way. I just got the vest and jumpsuit in the mail today.

I cut the black holster off the side that came with it, it was held on with zip ties anyway.

Now my next little hurdle. I'm going to have to get some screenshots from the episode but this little flap that velcros over the strings isn't there. So I'll have to see about removing it.

I cut the sleeves off under the seem so it looks good. Now the next problem is fading that orange because damn it's bright.

Also I'm not sure what the vest is made out of. the tag says 100% Aramid, but it's very soft. It seems like it would take brown dye with no problem.
