i don't know if this has been brought up before, but...

i was just watching "safe" over again, and noting how forcefully inara pushed to take book to the alliance for emergency medical help.

perhaps the mysteries of book and inara are intertwined? inara could have known book's secret, which is why she pushed so hard to go immediately to an alliance medical facility becuase she knew they would help. and perhaps book was sent looking for inara?

i dunno, but it's fun to play what if :)

Interesting, but I doubt it.
If they had addressed it any other times, I might buy it, but I think Inara just has more faith in the alliance since she works on alliance planets, and she feels safer going there than Mal does. Nice theory, though.

(and no, it wasn't meant to be that way. I think it's intriguing, just probably not what they had intended, although I wouldn't have minded if they had gone there......)
