Ok, I watched this episode a couple days after it aired in the UK, and thought it was a pretty cool one.

But I think I missed something the first go'round. So when it finally aired last night in the U.S., I was very suprised when I was listening to the exchange between Adria and Daniel. As soon as I heard a particular sentence, I really felt it was another tip of the hat to Firefly. Which made it all the cooler, since our Inara was in the scene.

When Adria says, "In our time together, I've really come to see in you what draws Mother's affection."

Then Daniel says, "Affectio-what!?"

It certainly was not a leap to replace the "affectio-what!?" with "Sw-what!?". The look was incredibly dead on to Mal's.

I thought it was awesome!

That scene also had Morena looking and sounding more like Inara than Adria. I was also fantasizing about being Michael Shanks when she kissed him.
