Holy s t Neko...You guys starting salary is $3,000 more than my current salary as a teacher with 8 years experience and 4 college degrees I HATE THIS STATE.. To explain: Utah ranks lowest in teacher pay, per pupil expenditure ( right now we spend $1.47 per student) and highest in class sizes ( average 42 kids per class) and sadly in total education budget we rank 51st...yes I said 51st ( we rank lower than Puerto Rico which is a U.S. protectorate) Stack em deep and teach em cheap that's the Utah way ( and you wonder why ignorant hicks abound)

It always eats at my heart to know how little teachers are paid. (I don't mean "little teachers" MsG) I wish people would wake up and get this problem fixed.

I watch it, when I remember its on! Good fun that show. The character interaction between Spader and Shatner is so much fun!

CK - Yup Laurelin is an MMORPG girl. We used to play Guild Wars together but not so much anymore. Kinda hard to find the time. That and she loves playing D&D (probably why I married her)

Smart man! Hubby and I got together over a game of D&D, and have played Ultima Online, Diablo 2, WoW, and several other games together on the dining room table we turned into a computer desk for two. It's nice to meet another gaming couple.

Fly, I'm with you. When 'professional' athletes and actors get millions of dollars a year, the most important jobs (teacher first and foremost, but civil services like police and fire get paid pretty sh*ttily too) get crap. I think it should be the other way around. It takes something special to be a teacher, and them that's got it deserve to be compensated for it. Then again, no one listens to me about these sorts of things, at least not the people who might be able to change it.

Well said. (Amen, brother.) Teachers jobs would be easier if parents knew how to be parents. Should need a license.

If parents did the job that they need to, the teacher would be there to push the rest of the way. (I'd make a reference involving tipping a basketball into a basket, but, well, you get the idea.)

Take responsibility for your actions and for your kids.

What? Did you say something?

WOW! ('n' I don't mean of the Warcraft variety)
Looks like alla my favorite people in the whole wide 'Verse are here! Hi CK & Neko (Where's Penguin?) Except maybe a few of the Foresaken and Camera Companions. Anyway mosta my favorites...

Which makes it so much the sadder that I have to make this announcement. I never thought I'd have to say this.

The World as we know it will come to an end on August 3. We will be mercilessly subjected to a Disney-fied version of...

"One Nation...Under Dog"

Oh. And I loved Under Dog. Thanks for ruining more stuff, Disney.

Edit: That'll probably suck away my childhood memories as much as the recent Grinch.
