Dunno; there haven't been that many votes that .5% could vanish and return; I've seen a pretty smooth flow in our direction today:
7:43 am 4/30
Serenity 31.78%
Star Wars 34.40%
Blade Runner 20.33%
Planet of the Apes 2.23%
The Matrix 11.27%
32984 Votes Cast

3:45pm 4/30

}

Serenity 31.84%
Star Wars 34.34%
Blade Runner 20.34%
Planet of the Apes 2.22%
The Matrix 11.26%
33076 Votes Cast

That happened over a matter of hours on Friday, I believe. Serenity had been making steady progress with no response from Star Wars or Blade Runner until that time.

Most of the response was from Blade Runner, with some from Star Wars. It seemed like the vote count was increasing by hundreds of votes in a matter of minutes. I assumed that the vote was coming to an end and there was a final push by Star Wars and Blade Runner to assert themselves.

I considered registering on this site to inform you Browncoats of this situation. Fortunately, by the morning, the flurry of new votes stopped and there has been steady progress made with the occasional 0.01% setback. I believe it took over three weeks to close the Star Wars gap from over 20% to about 3.5%. Star Wars and Blade Runner have shown that they can make a change of 0.5% in a matter of hours, if they are so inclined.

Was the activity before the weekend a warning or a test of their voting capability? It was too much volume in a short period of time for just a few voters without doing things such as changing IP connections. If I remember correctly this activity took place sometime between about 10 PM and 6 AM PST, so perhaps the origin was not in the United States.

So, Browncoats, if you care about this front, be vigilant.

Hail and farewell. My coat is now brown, but more of an old, faded navy blue. Never been much of a "joiner", particularly for voting. All this talk about SciFi Alliance just sounds creepy to me for some reason.

I don't know if it was a cheat gone bad, or suddenly a thousand folks decided to participate and quit. It was strange. Seen nothing like it on this poll. Votes started trailing off... boom ... then back to like it was before.

I'm also not sure what happened to my previous post; I was playing with fonts and styles and it went zocko. Perhaps someone posted while I was editting and the site merged the posts together? In any case, the site will no longer let me edit it (even though it indicates I own the post). I didn't write this and the stuff after "That happened over a matter of hours on Friday,"
