Yep, I found out about Can't Stop The Serenity and decided to take part this year, just because it's a really cool idea. I'm in the midst of booking the cinema for the screening, and I was just wondering if there are any other Edinburghian Browncoats here? Or indeed, any other Browncoats in Scotland that would come? I'd recommend it, if only for the banter of meeting fellow Browncoats, and because it's all for a good cause. Not to mention being able to watch the BDM on the big screen - whether it's your first or fifth time!

So yeah, if you're from Scotland, and even Edinburgh, and you're thinking of coming, give me a shout :-)

Awesome! Hey, even if you can't make it, would it be ok if I recruited you for advertising purposes? I'd really appreciate it, because my main worry is not being able to fill all the seats, and it'd help ease my mind a bit if I knew there were others spreading the word.

Yay Edinburgh browncoats! There are a few of us here, but mostly we hang on the OB - I've not been here in AGES! And now we discover that you're arranging an Edinburgh screening? Hey all!

Sorry for the long reply, I had no idea this topic had been replied to again (darn email notification that didn't work!). There's alot to fill you in on...

Basically, the cinema is booked, so the screening is officially on. Yeah, baby! Details are as follows:

When: Saturday 23rd June
Where: The Filmhouse, Lothian Road, Edinburgh
Time: 10:30am (doors open at 10am)
Tickets: £5 (on sale NOW!)
Box Office: 0131-228-2688

We're also going to be selling t-shirts and posters (need to get confirmation for the latter though), and there will also be a raffle with shiny prizes :-)

So yeah, come and bring as many people as possible!! It will be a blast. Also, would anyone be interested in poster/leaflet distribution in your area, once I get them sorted?

I'll be holidaying in UK at that time, already booked in to the Oxford showing on the 16th. I doubt we'll be that far north by the 23rd but if we are, there'll be 3 antipodean's joining the fun.

Charity screening of a film I love - I'll be there! Interesting way to meet new friends also, though I've gotta wonder if there's anything new left to say on these things... Will be coralling those Firefly friends who are also in Ed... I've never really got involved in the fanworld but this makes me wonder what I've been missing!
