Oh, and this pic was taken last August I think. The reason I'm so skinny is that it was taken about a week after what has become known as the 'Art Attack' to my friends. It's a long story.
Well, actually it's not that long, but this is a thread for pictures damnit! Ask, though, and ye shall receive the story.

Last was my final year of High School. And, being an Art student, I like all my classmates, was required to complete a Body of Work.
Some did painting, some did phtotgraphy, some drawing...
I did a 32 page comic book. All profesional like.
Now I'm not much of a drawer, but I can draw pretty damn good if you give me enough time.
Unfortunately, I would find that I take too damn long...
So all year, I write, rewrite, re-rewrite and then tweak my story so as much of it can be told through just imagery alone as possible. I did this whole process way too much.
I told you I took too long to draw. I was halfway done drawing the whole thing (no colour needed in this baby) with 8 days to go.
This, as you can imagine, was not at all a good thing.
I threw the whole thing in the bin on Friday night. Wake up at 11am Saturday morning and got to work. The plan? Re-do the whole thing with photographs instead of drawings. Still black and white (thanks to the wonders of Photoshop CS2).
I fell asleep 2am Friday morning. That's like 135 hours or something without a wink of sleep.
I got the final copy of the comic out of the printers half an hour before they closed for the weekend, and the work was due 9am Monday morning. Thank God my car didn't break down on the way there.
So 232 photographs, too many cups of coffee, 4 trips to the printing place, $520, 135 hours and 5 five and a half kilograms (a tad over 12 pounds for you Imperialists) later and I have a finished comic book in my hands.
My teacher hated it. Too bad for her she doesn't get to mark it. It gets shipped to the city where a panel of judges view every single body of work in the state.
The judges loved it. I got into ArtExpress (Selected artists have their work shown in the Art Gallery of New South Wales) and got offered a scholarship into a graphic design school, which I promptly turned down.
Last February, I threw the comic into a bonfire. There's only one copy left, and it sits on a friends bookshelf.
Thus, the story of the 'Art Attack' (geddit? Art Attack, heart attack? hehe!) is complete. And I siad it wouldn't be long....

Well, that is a hell of a story!
Wow, if I did that, do you think I could get a scholarship to a graphic design school? Probably not, since I'm not in high school anymore... And live in the US... Oh well.
