It looks like Wendy may end up discovering her backbone. I wonder what that means for her partner.

*sigh*

One more week...

I agree with Wendy's statement "I think I should have shot you". I cannot stand that girl, whatever her name is. And the brother whose every other word is "homes" also needs to be shot. So does the military wife. She's about as stupid as they come. I like the father/daughter team though, and Wendy, and the younger brother.

OK best Fireflyesque line has to be
" Do you think the secret cabal that runs this illegal race has roadside assistance?"

It's great and well written...but hopefully not doomed.

Meh. Not to be a downer, but my suspension of disbelief just does not extend to dozens of people with missing wives, daughters, or other loved ones choosing *NOT* to beat powerpoint man to the ground and call the police. The chances of tracing him back to whoever is pulling the strings has got to be better than the 1-in-lots-of-people chance of winning the race (plus having to believe that the bastards who set you up in this situation are going to live up to their word).

Sorry Tim, I really wanted to like it.

Actually, the impression I got is that Tully is the only one coerced into the race. Most of the other racers we've met (and, I'd wager, most of those we haven't) are there voluntarily.

Besides, "disqualification" likely means death for whoever got taken. It's a hostage situation.

DanielFyre: I actually found the song on the Fox Drive site. I couldn't get a link, the way the window popped up, but all you have to do is on the main page, under the News section, the last thing is Listen to the theme song, and you get the whole bundle of shinyness. Enjoy!

Cybersnark: I don't think disqualification means that the person they care for is killed. Corrina wasn't killed, remember - and her parents were just as good as disqualified. Besides, they wouldn't need to kill anybody. It's just as bad knowing that you'll never see them again.

This was the precise moment I started to think that maybe somewhere down the line, Alex is going to regress into the criminal he may have been before. Kinda like in the movie A History of Violence with Viggo Mortensen. He may very well have to be, to save his wife.
