What I can't figure out is this:

We own the vast majority of Firefly stock. Who owns a tiny fraction and is selling - causing our stock prices to drop?

As the stock has done nothing but go up, up, up, I figure it's some dumbass who holds stock for a few weeks, gathers the profit then sells a large block for cash to grab up something else.

It's their sale that has caused our Firefly stock to dip these past two days.

Whatever! I would like to ask them if they've ever heard of "buy it and forget it for 40 years".

"Just keep walkin, preacher man."

I was wondering the same thing, especially after our total got closer and closer to, and then passed, the volume reported on HSX. I asked on the HSX message boards for a better definition of volume and what I got back was that volume is number of stocks traded in the last 24 hours. There's no real good way to figure out total shares of Firefly that are being held. Here's the explanation I got:
http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=4219&m=47415#47415

What we can say for sure is that there are about 3 million shares held by fireflyfans that are not going to be traded ever. Jaysedai said there's also a lot of people from the official board who bought stock, too. Today's volume of 1.3 million represents HSX traders who are not fireflyfans just going about their fantasy trading (gorramm them ). According to Faaborg's tracking of Firefly stock, the volume for the past week was 16.1 million and for the past month was 58.2 million. A lot of that was from the movie announcement and now people have sold off after taking a little profit. We should probably expect to see these short term profit runs every time that there is a positive news release (negative news releases concerning Serenity do not exist in my world view).

One thing we can continue to do is recommend friends to keep buying FRFLY stock and sit on it. It will cost 1.7 million to max out at the current price.

The reply I got after emailing the folks at HSX, asking about a Joss Whedon StarBond.

>> Whedon (Buffy, Angel; Toy Story) directing. I've

Thanks for reminding me about this thread. I'm updating the first lines to include all the new star bonds that have been added to Firefly. On a side note, if you look at the Universal Studio Fund and scroll down to see all the details there is only 1 share held of Firefly. And Pacinos Baby, who manages the fund, bought that share at $19.43. So if he would've maxed out on Firefly he would've shown $1,439,500 profit instead of the $28.73 profit he now has. Sad to see that the manager of the Universal Studio Fund did not think that Firefly had much of a chance to make money. I'm holding off on buying stock in this fund until he maxes out on Firefly.

Editted to add: Saw a post on another thread by MindsEye and they own stock in the SCIFI fund. The manager of that fund has maxed out on Firefly stock and made a pretty healthy profit because of it (It's actually the fourth highest profit). So this might be a better option if you want to invest in funds as part of your Firefly investment portfolio. After Serenity is wildly successful and the second movie is in the works and all the BDMs get their star bonds, maybe someone could set up a Firefly Movie Fund

Another side note... GrimLakin, were all those stocks for Firefly? If so, it's not too good an idea to advertise that you're circumventing HSX's rules. I doubt that they would ever read this, but still...

My stocks: ATUDY: 20 000, CEJIO: 20 000, DKRUM: 20 000

New totals:
3 064 203 - frfly
0 040 000 - atudy
0 032 100 - cejio
0 032 100 - dkrum
0 021 000 - univx
